Description
A quick and delectable side dish of roasted asparagus showcasing tender spears kissed with garlic and buttery goodness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb asparagus spears, trimmed
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place cleaned and trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet, making sure to line them up in a single layer for even cooking.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus and toss them gently to ensure they’re evenly coated.
- Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the spears to enhance their flavor.
- Roast the asparagus in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until they are tender and have a slight crispiness.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
- Once the asparagus is done roasting, drizzle it with the garlic butter right before serving. Optionally, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor.
Notes
Choose fresh asparagus for the best flavor and avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for optimal roasting.
