Description

A quick and delectable side dish of roasted asparagus showcasing tender spears kissed with garlic and buttery goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place cleaned and trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet, making sure to line them up in a single layer for even cooking.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus and toss them gently to ensure they’re evenly coated.
  4. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the spears to enhance their flavor.
  5. Roast the asparagus in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until they are tender and have a slight crispiness.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  7. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
  8. Once the asparagus is done roasting, drizzle it with the garlic butter right before serving. Optionally, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

Choose fresh asparagus for the best flavor and avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for optimal roasting.
