Description
A comforting, creamy one-skillet dish featuring tender beef and cheese tortellini enveloped in a rich savory sauce, ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- 9 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and paprika. Cook for about a minute.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions.
- Once the tortellini is cooked, reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter option, use ground turkey and low-fat cream. Avoid overcooking the tortellini to maintain the best texture.
