Air Fryer Churro Bites

Description

Air Fryer Churro Bites are golden, crispy, and coated in cinnamon sugar ready in minutes without deep frying.


Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup water

2 large eggs

2 tbsp granulated sugar (for dough)

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Cooking spray


Instructions

1. In a saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat until butter is melted.

2. Reduce heat and stir in flour until dough comes together smoothly.

3. Transfer dough to a bowl and let it cool for 3–5 minutes.

4. Beat in eggs one at a time until dough is glossy and pipeable.

5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

6. Pipe 1–2 inch pieces of dough onto parchment paper.

7. Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange dough pieces in a single layer.

8. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, turning once halfway, until golden and firm.

9. Immediately toss warm churro bites in cinnamon-sugar mixture.

10. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half the butter with unsweetened applesauce.

To make vegan, use plant-based margarine and flax eggs.

For extra crunch, add an extra minute of cooking time  but keep an eye on color.

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the air fryer.
