Description

Delight in these warm, gooey Apple Caramel Bombs, featuring tender biscuit dough enveloping spiced apples and molten caramel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16.3 ounce) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
  • 8 caramel candies
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are soft, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Flatten each biscuit round to create a circular base.
  4. Scoop a portion of the apple filling onto the center of each round, then place a caramel candy on top.
  5. Pinch the edges together to seal and arrange the sealed dough balls in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and caramel is oozing.
  6. Whisk together the powdered sugar and cream until smooth and drizzle over the warm treats.

Notes

Choose tart apples like Granny Smith for a perfect balance. Ensure sealing is tight to avoid spills.
