Description

Deliciously sweet soft Christmas cookies featuring a chewy texture with rich chocolate chips and vibrant sprinkles, perfect for holiday sharing!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and festive sprinkles.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use softened butter and avoid overmixing the dough.
