Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or meat of choice
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix well and shape into meatballs.
  4. Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. In a baking dish, layer cooked spaghetti, marinara sauce, and browned meatballs, topping with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
