- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate mousse (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup crushed peanuts
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 prepared cake base (sponge or chocolate cake)
- Additional caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the banana puree: In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Whip the cream: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Combine the mixtures: Gently fold the banana puree into the whipped cream, then fold in the chocolate mousse until well combined.
- Layer the cake: Place the cake base on a serving plate and spread a layer of the banana mousse mixture over it.
- Add crunch: Sprinkle crushed peanuts over the mousse layer.
- Final layer: Add another layer of the mousse mixture on top and smooth it out.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes to set.
- Serve: Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the top and garnish with additional crushed peanuts.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for optimal sweetness. Chill bowls for whipping cream to achieve better volume.
