Description

A heavenly dessert that combines traditional banana pudding with creamy cheesecake, layered with fresh bananas and topped with whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafer cookies
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 2 bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafer cookies, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix well and press into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden, then allow to cool completely.
  4. In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gently add vanilla pudding to the cream cheese mixture, then fold in whipped cream.
  6. Layer sliced bananas on the cooled crust, then evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture over the bananas.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  8. Before serving, add extra whipped cream and banana slices on top for decoration.

Notes

For best results, chill overnight. Use ripe but firm bananas for optimal flavor.
