Description

A delightful dessert featuring layers of fluffy cake, vibrant strawberries, and rich whipped cream, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, stirring gently to mix.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until everything is combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them and letting them cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of whipped cream over it and add a generous amount of sliced strawberries.
  10. Place the second layer on top and repeat the process, adding more strawberries and whipped cream. Garnish the cake with additional strawberries and whipped cream as desired.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Ensure cakes are completely cooled before frosting.
