- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
- Cook the orzo according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 additional minute.
- Increase heat and add ground beef, cooking until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper; lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked orzo and Parmesan cheese with the sauce, mixing well.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Notes
To avoid overcooking the orzo, cook it al dente. Adjust seasoning to taste and consider using quality crushed tomatoes for better flavor.
