Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
- 1 1/4 cup Barbecue sauce (sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ preferred)
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing (fat-free recommended)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup Light brown sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Place them in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this delicious mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on high for 150 minutes or on low for 300 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Once cooked, you can either serve the chicken whole or shred it right in the crockpot for an extra burst of flavor.
Notes
For a spicy kick, mix in some diced jalapeños or use your favorite hot sauce. For gluten-free, use gluten-free barbecue sauce.
