Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add molasses, honey, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough thick and chill for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Cut out cookie shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm.
  9. Allow to cool before decorating with icing.
