- 3 large Sweet Onions (Vidalia recommended)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the onions into thick rings, about 1 inch thick.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and stir in garlic powder and oregano.
- Add the onion rings to the skillet and sauté for about 10 minutes until golden but still firm.
- Remove from heat, layer the onions in a baking dish, and top with cheeses.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, use fresh garlic. You can also mix different cheeses based on your preference.
