Description

A delightful dessert combining fluffy layers of cake, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
  3. Add the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and tap gently to release air bubbles.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  7. Layer the cakes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream.
  8. Top the entire cake with more strawberries and serve to eager guests.

Notes

Allow cakes to cool completely before frosting to prevent the whipped cream from melting.
