Description

A delightful twist on classic cinnamon rolls, filled with juicy blueberries and topped with creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan until warm.
  3. Combine it with your dry ingredients, adding the egg last.
  4. Mix until a dough forms, then knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon and blueberries on top of the rolled-out dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly to form a log.
  9. Cut the rolled dough into sections and place them in a greased baking dish.
  10. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes.
  12. Prepare the frosting by mixing the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.
  13. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy tops, brush melted butter on top before baking. If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them beforehand.
