Description

Delightful blueberry cinnamon rolls combine the warmth of cinnamon with the fruity tartness of blueberries, topped with a creamy frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup blueberry jam
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt until well blended. Heat the milk until warm, then add the melted butter and egg. Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  2. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  3. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread the blueberry jam over it, and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  4. Place the cut rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, blueberries, and vanilla together until smooth.
  7. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and serve immediately.
