- 1 loaf of French bread
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups blueberries
- Powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut the French bread into cubes and place half of it in the prepared dish.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Then add the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the bread, ensuring all pieces are coated. Top with the remaining bread and sprinkle the blueberries on top.
- Cover with foil and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- Bake for 30 minutes covered. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
