Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns golden and has a nutty aroma. Let it cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cooled brown butter until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
  8. Scoop the dough and roll it into balls, then roll in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  9. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
