Description

A delightful dessert featuring sweet peaches and rich brown sugar, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with half of the brown sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out the juices.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining brown sugar.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Carefully spread the peaches on top of the batter. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon for extra flavor.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

Make sure your peaches are ripe for the best sweetness and flavor. For an extra crispy top, you can broil the cobbler for a minute or two after it’s done baking.
