Description
A delightful dessert featuring sweet peaches and rich brown sugar, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with half of the brown sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out the juices.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining brown sugar.
- Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Carefully spread the peaches on top of the batter. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon for extra flavor.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Make sure your peaches are ripe for the best sweetness and flavor. For an extra crispy top, you can broil the cobbler for a minute or two after it’s done baking.
