Description

A delicious sweet and crunchy treat that combines your favorite candy bars with a classic snack mix.


Ingredients

  • 7 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 18 fun-size Butterfinger candy bars (15 crushed and 3 chopped for garnish)
  • 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar (sifted)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Chex cereal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and salted butter. Microwave for about 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.
  4. Drizzle the chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex and stir gently to coat.
  5. Fold in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars.
  6. Coat the mixture with powdered sugar by either sprinkling it on or shaking it in a ziplock bag.
  7. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet to dry. Sprinkle with chopped Butterfinger before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container; it lasts about a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
