Description
A delightful dish featuring tender chicken breasts with Cajun spices, creamy cheese tortellini, and a rich garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously on both sides with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the seasoned chicken breasts, and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In a separate pot, cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well to combine, and bring to a simmer.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet along with the drained tortellini, stirring to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For best results, ensure your skillet is hot before adding the chicken to achieve a nice sear. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for spice level.
