Description

Tender steak tips seasoned with Cajun spice, succulent penne pasta, and a luxurious creamy Parmesan cheese sauce for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak tips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (for sauce)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of cooking water.
  2. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear in heated olive oil for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove from pan.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, milk, and cream cheese, stirring until smooth.
  4. Mix in Parmesan and mozzarella, stirring until melted. If thick, add reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  5. Toss cooked penne in sauce, add steak tips, and mix thoroughly. Serve hot garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, season steak tips the night before. This dish can be made gluten-free using gluten-free penne.
