- 397 g caramels, unwrapped
- 120 ml evaporated milk
- 425 g German chocolate cake mix
- 80 ml evaporated milk
- 170 g unsalted butter, melted
- 30 g pecans, chopped
- 340 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C and coat a 23 x 33 cm baking pan with non-stick spray.
- In a small saucepan, combine the unwrapped caramels and 120 ml of evaporated milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, 80 ml of evaporated milk, melted butter, and chopped pecans until a thick dough forms.
- Press half of the brownie dough into the prepared pan and bake for 8 minutes. Refrigerate the remaining dough.
- After baking the first layer, spread chocolate chips over it, then drizzle the melted caramel on top.
- Shape the remaining dough into small pieces and place them over the caramel until covered. Bake for an additional 15–20 minutes or until just set.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use high-quality caramels for the best flavor. Experiment with different types of chocolate chips or nuts based on personal preferences.
