A delightful Caprese Salad combining creamy mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and fragrant basil, elevated with a homemade balsamic glaze.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella cheese
- 2 Large tomatoes (preferably heirloom or vine-ripened)
- 1 cup Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 cup Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Honey (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes into even slices.
- On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil leaves.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- For the balsamic glaze, combine balsamic vinegar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer and reduce until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
- Drizzle the homemade balsamic glaze over the salad before serving.
Notes
Use ripe tomatoes for the best flavor. Assemble the salad just before serving for freshness.
