Delightful bars combining creamy cheesecake, spiced apples, and a crunchy graham cracker crust, drizzled with luscious caramel.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for apples)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking pan to form a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes and let cool.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pour this mixture over the cooled crust.
- Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Layer the spiced apples over the cheesecake filling.
- Mix all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and cold butter in another bowl until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle this over the apple layer.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
- Before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce, slice into bars, and enjoy!
Notes
Ensure you chill the bars for at least 3 hours for optimal texture and flavor. Consider using a mix of sweet and tart apples.
