Description
A delightful and comforting dish bringing together rich flavors of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, with tender chicken thighs in a savory broth served over rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a bit of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add them to the pan. Cook for about 5–7 minutes on each side, or until browned.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and honey. Pour this mixture over the chicken, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve the chicken over the cooked rice, ladling the broth over the top, and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
For an extra depth of flavor, marinate the chicken in the soy sauce mixture for a few hours before cooking. Use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for better flavor.
