- Melt the Butter: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add granulated and brown sugar, stirring until smooth.
- Add the Pears: Incorporate sliced pears and mix well to coat with caramel.
- Spice it Up: Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger over pears and stir to distribute the spices.
- Cook Until Tender: Cook pears for 10-15 minutes until they are golden and caramelized yet firm.
- Thicken the Filling: Whisk cornstarch and water together, add to skillet, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Finish with Vanilla: Stir in vanilla extract, let cool slightly before using.

For a vegan option, swap butter for coconut oil. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
