Description

- 1 whole wheat pizza crust
- 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup fontina cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
- 4 slices prosciutto
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust package instructions.
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the sliced pears, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the pears are caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Spread the caramelized pears evenly over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle the fontina and blue cheese over the top.
- Add the slices of prosciutto and shallots.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
Notes
Choose ripe pears for the best caramelization. Serve immediately for optimal crispness.
