- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the pizza crust package instructions.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced pears and brown sugar, cooking until the pears are caramelized and soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, sauté the sliced onion in another skillet until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- On a baking sheet, stretch out the whole wheat pizza crust to your desired thickness.
- Evenly sprinkle the grated fontina cheese over the crust as the base.
- Distribute the caramelized pears and sautéed onions evenly on top of the cheese.
- Add the torn pieces of prosciutto followed by the crumbled blue cheese.
- Season the entire pizza with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake according to the package instructions, typically about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
