Description
A comforting dish featuring succulent beef brisket coated with a rich caramelized glaze, perfect for family dinners or game-day parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 lb beef brisket
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a bowl and rub this mixture onto the brisket.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high and sear the brisket for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer brisket to a slow cooker, add onion, garlic, beef broth, and barbecue sauce, and stir gently.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until fork-tender.
- Remove brisket, let it rest, then shred with two forks and mix with juices before serving.
Notes
Searing enhances flavor and moisture; allow brisket to rest before shredding for the best texture.
