- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Boil the elbow macaroni in salted water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is softened.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and add cream cheese and half of the cheddar cheese; stir until melted and smooth.
- Incorporate the cooked macaroni into the mixture.
- Transfer to a greased casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
