- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 ounces cheese (cheddar or mozzarella), cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (for topping)
- Optional: herbs and spices to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Shape small portions of the mixture into patties, placing a cube of cheese in the center of each patty and sealing the edges.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the patties on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each patty.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a minute and serve hot.
Notes
Choose quality ground beef (80/20 blend) for the best flavor, and keep the cheese cold until ready to use to prevent leakage during cooking.
