A comforting casserole combining broccoli, rice, and creamy cheese for a satisfying meal loved by all.
Ingredients

- 3 cups Broccoli Florets
- 1 cup Long-Grain Rice
- 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook 1 cup of long-grain rice according to package instructions.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 medium diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Add 3 cups of broccoli florets and sauté until bright green and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Combine the broccoli mixture with the cooked rice in a large mixing bowl. Stir in 1 cup of whole milk and 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of seasoned breadcrumbs if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use other types of cheese or add cooked chicken for a heartier meal.
