- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated cheddar
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp parsley
- A pinch of salt
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
Instructions
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Gradually stir in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise covered for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, oregano, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl for the garlic butter.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, divide into small pieces, and flatten each piece. Add cheese mixture and roll into balls.
- Shape dough balls on a baking tray into a Christmas tree, leaving space between them.
- Brush with garlic butter mixture and let it rest for 15 minutes. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with more garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley or Parmesan before serving warm.
Notes
Serve with marinara or ranch sauce for dipping. Experiment with different cheeses and fillings for variety.
