Description
A warm and comforting casserole combining seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and gooey cheese that pleases the entire family.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onions over medium heat until the meat is fully cooked; drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the ground beef mixture, and half of the cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Pour the soup mixture evenly over the top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Choose Russet potatoes for best texture. You can experiment with different cheese varieties for unique flavors.
