Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes and top with the meat mixture.
- Pour beef broth over the layers. Top generously with shredded cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added nutrition, consider adding sautéed bell peppers or spinach to the meat mixture. Allow to cool slightly for easier serving.
