Description

Delightful fusion of rich chocolate and tart cherries, creating luxurious and comforting truffles.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cherry puree
  • 2 tablespoons cherry liqueur (optional)
  • Cocoa powder or chopped nuts (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  2. Heat the heavy cream over medium heat until just about to boil.
  3. Remove the cream from heat and pour it over the chopped chocolate; let it sit for a minute.
  4. Stir until smooth, then mix in the cherry puree and cherry liqueur (if using).
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 2 hours until firm.
  6. Use a melon baller or hands to form small balls, dusting hands with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.
  7. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or chopped nuts to coat.

Notes

Use quality chocolate for best flavor. Chill the mixture adequately to easily form the truffles.
