Description

Deliciously soft and chewy gingerbread cookies with a blend of warm spices, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsulfured molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Gradually add the egg and molasses.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are firm. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes
