Description

A delightful Middle Eastern dish marinated in spices for rich flavors and a tender texture, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread or rice for serving
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cumin, paprika, turmeric, minced garlic, yogurt, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and coat the chicken with the marinade. Marinate for at least one hour or overnight for best flavor.
  2. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
  3. Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  4. Serve the sliced chicken in warm pita bread, over rice, or in a salad topped with fresh veggies.

Notes

For more flavor, marinate overnight. Chicken thighs are recommended for moisture, but breasts can be used as an alternative.
