Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch) and place them on the baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Fill the thumbprints with chocolate ganache while warm.
- Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
