Ingredients

- 300 grams dark chocolate (50-70% cocoa)
- 300 millilitres heavy cream or double cream
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 200 grams dark chocolate (for coating)
- Orange peel (optional)
- Edible gold leaf or glitter (optional)
Instructions
- Finely chop 300 grams of dark chocolate and set aside half (150 grams) for coating later.
- Gently warm 300 millilitres of heavy cream over low heat using a double boiler or microwave.
- Stir the chopped chocolate and 1 tablespoon orange zest into the warm cream and mix until fully combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool, cover with cling film, and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours until thickened.
- Roll small portions of the chilled mixture into balls and refrigerate to firm them up again.
- Melt the reserved 200 grams of dark chocolate and coat each truffle completely.
- Transfer coated truffles to parchment paper and garnish with orange peel or edible gold leaf if desired.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely before storing the truffles.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality chocolate and chill hands while rolling the truffles.
