Description

Cilantro Lime Shrimp Tacos are a burst of flavors with juicy shrimp, zesty lime, and fresh cilantro, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small Corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup Cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream (optional)
  • Hot sauce to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let the shrimp marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  3. Combine shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro in another bowl to create a slaw.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave until soft.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked shrimp on a tortilla, and topping them with cilantro slaw and slices of avocado.
  6. Drizzle with sour cream and hot sauce if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Marinate shrimp longer for enhanced flavor. Use fresh lime juice for best results.
