Description

Delightful muffins that combine the classic flavors of cinnamon rolls in an easy-to-make form.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar for the filling.
  6. Scoop a tablespoon of batter into each muffin cup, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and top with more batter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over cooled muffins.

Notes

Optional: Add chocolate chips or nuts for added flavor and texture.
