Description

A delightful twist on cinnamon rolls and cheesecake with fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for cheesecake filling)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a saucepan, heat the milk and unsalted butter until warm. Pour this into the bowl with dry ingredients, add the egg and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Allow it to rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
  3. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread cream cheese over it, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and scatter chopped strawberries.
  4. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and slice into rolls.
  5. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, you can use more cream cheese filling and incorporate spices like nutmeg or cardamom.
