Description

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate kiss, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (plus more for rolling)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 36 unwrapped Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and peanut butter together until smooth.
  4. Add in the granulated and brown sugar, and beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  7. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough, roll into balls, and coat with granulated sugar.
  8. Space the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  10. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after baking.
  11. Cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing the dough.
