- ยฝ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ยฝ cup Unsalted Butter, softened to room temperature
- ยฝ cup Granulated Sugar (for dough)
- ยฝ cup Light Brown Sugar, lightly packed
- 1 large Egg
- 2 Tbsp Milk (any kind)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ยฝ cup Granulated Sugar (for rolling)
- 1 bag (11 oz) Hershey Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla until just combined.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture on low speed until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls, rolling each in granulated sugar.
- Place the balls 1ยฝ to 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft; then press a chocolate kiss into each cookie and return to oven for an additional 2 minutes.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Refrigerating the dough helps maintain the cookies’ shape. Experiment with different chocolates for variations.
