Description

Delightful soft and chewy cookies topped with a melty Hersheyโ€™s Kiss, perfect for holiday gatherings or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 ยพ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ยฝ tsp Salt
  • ยฝ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ยฝ cup Unsalted Butter, softened to room temperature
  • ยฝ cup Granulated Sugar (for dough)
  • ยฝ cup Light Brown Sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 Tbsp Milk (any kind)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ยฝ cup Granulated Sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 bag (11 oz) Hershey Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla until just combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture on low speed until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls, rolling each in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the balls 1ยฝ to 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft; then press a chocolate kiss into each cookie and return to oven for an additional 2 minutes.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Refrigerating the dough helps maintain the cookies’ shape. Experiment with different chocolates for variations.
