Description
An exciting, flavor-packed dish combining tender chicken with a rich, buttery sauce that balances richness and zest.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in batches, cooking until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, and parsley. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss in the cowboy butter until fully coated. Let it simmer for another minute.
- Garnish with extra parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure chicken pieces are uniform in size for even cooking. Adjust red pepper flakes for heat level. Allow cooked chicken to rest to keep moisture.
