Description

A showstopper dish that combines sautéed steak, creamy sauce, and delightful cheese tortellini, creating a comforting meal perfect for dinners with family or friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer and then reduce heat.
  4. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated. Season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Slice the steak into strips and return it to the skillet along with the cooked tortellini. Gently stir until everything is coated in the creamy sauce.
  6. Finish off with fresh parsley, cracked black pepper, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use fresh tortellini and high-quality cheese. Let steak rest before slicing to maintain juiciness.
