Description
A showstopper dish that combines sautéed steak, creamy sauce, and delightful cheese tortellini, creating a comforting meal perfect for dinners with family or friends.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer and then reduce heat.
- Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated. Season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Slice the steak into strips and return it to the skillet along with the cooked tortellini. Gently stir until everything is coated in the creamy sauce.
- Finish off with fresh parsley, cracked black pepper, and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, use fresh tortellini and high-quality cheese. Let steak rest before slicing to maintain juiciness.
