Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring cheese tortellini and tender steak in a delicious garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Tortellini: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Steak: Season steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Allow to rest before slicing.
- Make the Creamhouse Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat, add butter and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stir well, then add parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
- Combine Everything: Add cooked tortellini and sliced steak to the sauce, tossing well to coat. Adjust seasoning with smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Garnish with parsley if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy: Plate the dish, sprinkle with additional parmesan or cracked black pepper if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For deeper flavors, consider marinating the steak before cooking. Use fresh parmesan for better taste.
