Description

A delightful appetizer that combines creamy, sharp, and sweet flavors, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 225g cream cheese
  • 100g sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 80g dried cranberries, chopped and divided
  • 80g pecans, toasted and chopped, divided
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using a mixer until it’s fluffy.
  2. Add in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Fold in the green onions, half of the chopped cranberries, and half of the toasted pecans. Stir gently.
  4. Use plastic wrap to shape the mixture into a ball and chill for at least one hour or overnight.
  5. Before serving, roll the cheese ball in the remaining cranberries and pecans.
  6. Serve with crackers, fresh fruit slices, or crostini.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for best mixing. Toasting the pecans enhances their flavor. Chill for optimal flavor melding.
